What is "The Sacred Heart Devotion"?
The Sacred Heart is a symbol of God, the Father's love for each one of us. Because "GOD IS LOVE" (1 John 4:16), the practice of the devotion to His Heart confirms and expresses the following truths: "God is Love. Jesus is God. Therefore, Jesus is Love." We exist because God loves us. More... First Friday Devotion
The First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is based on a promise made by our Lord Jesus Christ during an Apparition to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. This promise was implicitly approved by the Church in the 1920 canonization of St. Margaret Mary. The 12 Promises are contained in a letter written in May, 1688, by St. Margaret Mary to Mother Saumaise: See More What is the Nine First Fridays Devotion?
When our Lord appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647-1690), He gave her the special task of spreading devotion to His Most Sacred Heart, at a time when religion was growing cold in the hearts of mankind. Jesus also indicated that this devotion would be a means to reconcile us in the end times by establishing his reign over our lives and in our hearts. The Nine First Fridays devotion is associated with one of the 12 promises that Jesus made to those who are dedicated to devotion to His Heart: “I promise you, in the excessive mercy of My Heart, that My all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Friday for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance; they shall not die in My disgrace nor without receiving their sacraments; My Divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in that last moment.” — Our Lord to St. Margaret Mary |

Throughout any given day, you will have countless opportunities to do this and it will fill your life with purpose and draw you nearer to the Heart of Jesus.
You can also say a special prayer, such as the Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart or recite the
